homemade gifts from the garden - suggestion for buying gifts for gardeners

My best Gift Suggestions for Gardeners:)

For this gardener I will say:
Books and a Subscription to one of my favourite gardening magazines. Most of our magazines, the shipping and handling is more than the magazines are worth, but it's such a nice surprise to find a magazine in your mailbox every couple of months.

Gardening Tools:

I like to buy my own, especially hand tools.
If my hand tools doesn't fit my hand like a glove, I don't want them.
Also the Weight of the tools.
I don't want my tools to be too light and not so heavy that I can't move them or use them all day like a battery leaf blower.

Homemade Gifts from the Garden:
My favourites are:

Pinecones:

A wicker basket full of pinecones with a string of mini Christmas lights and a pretty bow; it always makes me happy. Even if it's not Christmas. I use them as night-light. I also make pinecone wreaths. :)

Food:

Garlic and Onion Braids.
They always look so pretty and handy. I also attach a small scissors with garlic and onion braids.
Homemade Fermented Foods, Syrups and Jams.

Herbal Teas:

I just dry them, find a pretty jar and a gift tag.
Or you can print an envelope and share different loose teas with friends

Flowers and Greenery as Gifts:

I don't dry flowers anymore, but they do make really pretty handmade cards.
I love picking fresh greenery and herbs around the holidays for making wreaths, swags, centrepieces and garlands. It all smells so good indoors.
I am going to try making soap with dried flowers. Sounds easy - from H-n-G.

Herbs for homemade gifts:

They are so many things you can make with herbs.
Teas, Sachets for the linen cupboard, Peau-pourri, Bath Bombs, Bath Sachets and Heating Pads.
Sometimes I just pick some herbs and hang them where I can see them. Herbs love to be picked. It's a good thing at my house. :)

Seeds & Plants as gifts:

You can never have enough seeds or potted plants.
Lots of Seed Envelopes to print or you can make your own.
I love it when friends and family share their plant cuttings and seeds with me. What a blessing! Thank You All! :)
