Nature Watching with IP Cameras
See Backyard Wildlife in Action
We used a simple IP Surveillance Camera to watch birds, bunnies, raccoons, and even dragonflies β right from our kitchen window.

Watching Nature in the Backyard
The best thing I did for myself and my Mom was to buy IP Surveillance Cameras. Some of the
wildlife images on this site came from them. They're not perfect, but gives me an idea of
what I missed during the day.
In winter, I can watch the action from the kitchen.
What tools do you use to track your wildllife?
I wait for my migratory birds early spring. I set my hummingbird feeder out in early May, by
October most of my wildlife have migrated.

The Cons of Having an IP Camera?
While fun, it's sometimes heartbreaking to see the damage wildlife can do overnight. But I also get to witness the beauty of life in my garden. Here's who eats what:
- Birds: grapes, seeds, berries
- Raccoons: grapes, corn
- Bunnies: whatever they reach
- Voles/Mice: beets
- Chipmunks: peas, berries
- Skunks: corn
- Squirrels: dig up everything (even potatoes!)
- Fox: break things stomping around
It's proof I've made a wildlife-friendly garden. Maybe too friendly. But they are cute.
